In Romans 15:14-33, Paul describes his past missionary endeavors among unreached peoples. He then expresses his desire to visit the church in Rome after he delivers a financial gift from the Macedonian churches to the struggling church in Jerusalem. His ultimate desire is to go to Spain (frontier missions where Christ has not been heard), but wants to have a layover in Rome to be refreshed by their encouragement. He then gives an urgent prayer request and asks the Romans to pray earnestly on his behalf.
